PETKIND VET JOB DESCRIPTION.
ROTA. 8 practice group, 8 week weekend rota, in which work 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday on call, 3 Saturday a.m.s, with 4 weekends off. Weekdays, 1 evening in every 8 weekdays on call from 7.00-8.00pm, (Subject to holidays, illness, etc.). No nights on call.
SALARY PACKAGE. Basic - subject to experience + bonus of 12.5% of T.O. after VAT deducted above ‘weekly costs figure’ reducing to 6.25% when holiday taken. Commission of 20% of emergency takings after VAT deducted. Car and accomodation, or car allowance of £200/mth, accomodation allowance of £300/mth and petrol allowance of £1,300 p.a. 28 days paid holiday, including Bank Holidays.
CPD ALLOWANCE. 3 days paid CPD with a ceiling of £1,000. Would support other interests.
PRACTICE. This is a T. P. and Tier 2 practice, air conditioned, computerized, Vet Test and Vetlite, X-ray, automatic processor, pulse oximeter, access to endoscope and bronchoscope, cryosurgery, tonometer, optical loops, ultra-sound and ECG. In house referrals for dermatology, animal behaviour, cardiology, sugery, ultra-sound, acupuncture and physiotherapy.
STAFF. 2 RVNs and 1 trainee nurse with Part 1 VN and very experienced. Running nurses clinics (i.e. puppy parties, obesity etc) as is done in the rest of the group.
PRACTICE HOURS. Appointments 10 minutes, weekdays 9.00-10.00 p.m. and 4.30-6.30 p.m. subject to demand i.e. later or earlier if necessary, Saturdays 11.30-12.30 p.m.
LOOKING FOR someone motivated who would continue to develop the practice and who can give a reasonable length of commitment to the practice. There will be an opportunity to purchase in the medium to long term but this is not a condition of filling the vacancy.
